I've heard this is really going to be a great Pioneer Days this year. Hope all attend. There is a new carnival too. Maybe some new musicians as well as some of the same we've had in the past. Hope all come, all are definitely invited, even the hired and fired alike.

That will be good, I am soooo looking forward to going. Wickliffe, Bobbie Jo, Katie and Ms. Lockmiller really know how to put on a great Pioneer Days. We sure miss Katie too!

I don't think you are going to ms. Lockjmiller there, she wised up and wrote off those morons long ago, all except Tiny. Now I heard Tiny is on her #%#$% list too. Too bad Tiny you didn't know who you friends were, guess you'll be finding out soon enough.

I think that all of the terminated employees should open up a booth at the Pioneer Days Celebration and offer free counseling to the rest of the employees that still have jobs. What a hoot that would be. They could call themselves the "get your head on str8 group". They could have a dunking booth and give away "Walking Eagles on a leash" as a boobie prize. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Donna W. You are too funny, great idea, does anyone know where we can get some tiny little eagles on leashes. I'm calling around now looking for a dunking booth.

Donna W.
I can not, nor do I want to give away such a revered eagle on a leash. However, I do believe we may be able to find some buzzards to put on leashes.....maybe right off the council bench!

Buzzards on a leash...lol. Now that is too funny. Their pictures are posted on another post for those who want to get matching buzzards...."COME ONE, COME ALL...TO THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH...THE BUZZARD STOMP."

I'm glad to hear that Bobbie Jo is still heading up Pioneer Days, despite being fired. It's sure to be another great one. By the way, I miss you guys too. Love you, Bob!

I glad to see somebody loves me. I love you too Kate. It is going to be a hard thing to do but the show must go on right.

Now that is truly the spirit that always drove Katie and Bobbie Jo. It is a shame that the City of Wilmer does not realize what it is missing with those ladies that always put on great entertainment for the citizens. I am glad to see that Bobbie Jo has the strength and fortitude to forge ahead through all of this.

Thanks to you Bobbie Jo for all you do, have done and will do for the citizens of Wilmer. If is quite obvious that you love all of them and the work you do for the city exemplifies that.

For such incompetence, it sure was one H$$L of a Show! Best Carnival in the past ten years, best, crowd, even the ones we didn't want to see there.

Can't wait till Christmas comes around and we all get to do that! Hold on tight, stand your ground, God will not fail you, he never has!

Hats off to you Bob, you just simply amaze me every day.

Love you,
MM

I thought that it sucked, there were no big rides for the teenagers and not alot of booths. I just hope that who ever does this next year is better at it and that they think of everyone in wilmer besides just the little kids because us teenagers like to do things also.

Anonymous said...

Maybe you should do it Jose? I welcome all the help I can get.

And by the way the booth were SOLD OUT.

All booth spaces were sold out Jose, we can not force vendors to set up. That tells us that many wanted to come and expected to come, but were not able to make it after they reserved their space and paid for it.

As far as the carnival goes, the only other carnival that offers more rides and games, costs so much in ticket prices that noone could afford to come. And with the lack of available land for set up, we can only handle small carnivals. The little kids always enjoy the carnivals more and come in bigger numbers, so they have always taken priority. The booths offer something for the teenagers, but the little kids only have the carnival to look forward to.

Thanks for the comment and help out next year and let's see what we can do together!!
